Uriel Zamarripa joins CP&A with previous state government knowledge. Prior to joining CP&A, Mr. Zamarripa worked for the California State Assembly, engaging in International Relations and Protocol for the Protocol office of Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon. In addition to leveraging the state’s global strengths alongside senior policy staff, he served as an IR resource to other California Assemblymembers and assisted in establishing proper protocol throughout engagements between California officials and foreign dignitaries.
Additionally, Mr. Zamarripa was involved in the strategic planning and implementation of California State Assembly’s first ever summit on economic security which put together some of the top national, and global, leading voices on today’s most pressing issues, i.e., homelessness, economic insecurity, and job security in the face of labor automation.
Furthermore, Mr. Zamarripa was given the responsibility of conducting outreach to create and facilitate Speaker Appointment Workshops, putting together leading voices from California state boards and commissions. These workshops played an integral part of the Speaker application process as they provided important information and guidance from current board members/commissioners who spoke on the processes. Audience members of the selected community were given the opportunity to learn and engage with successful candidates and understand the fundamentals of becoming a Speaker appointee.
Prior to working for the California State Assembly, Mr. Zamarripa was a bilingual election assistant for the Sacramento County Voter Registration and Elections office where he engaged with and assisted members of the public in evaluating and determining qualifications to vote on statewide and national elections. Under this position, he was also involved in translating and proofing Secretary of State documents in Spanish in order to better assist Spanish-speaking communities. Mr. Zamarripa graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2016 where he holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology.
