Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center Request for Qualifications Now Being Issued by the City of Anaheim
Architectural and engineering design proposals accepted through February 27, 2009

ANAHEIM, Calif., Feb 11, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The City of Anaheim, in partnership with the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is now issuing Request for Qualifications (RFQ) design proposals for the first phase of Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC). Designed to be a world-class transportation center, ARTIC will serve as a connectivity gateway and mixed use destination for the region on a prominent 16-acre site owned by the OCTA and the City of Anaheim.
Architectural and engineering consulting firms with significant experience designing inter-modal transit centers and other projects of similar scope are encouraged to submit their Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for 100% design. ARTIC RFQ applications and additional information can be accessed by logging on to www.anaheim.net, and applications are due in to City offices by 4 p.m. (PST) on Feb. 27, 2009. ARTIC will provide easy connections between the various locations in Anaheim and extend to Orange County, the southern California region and beyond. ARTIC will offer convenient travel via train, car, intercity bus, taxi, or local transit, and it will also accommodate future plans for high-speed train service.
ARTIC is a multi-year, multi-phase project with each phase coinciding with new and/or expanded transportation services and development. Phase I scope of work, valued at approximately $150 million, shall consist of: Site work and preparation; transportation center and supporting facilities; trackwork and platforms; parking; public art; and access and street improvements.
